190 Warren Road, Toronto, ON

Engineering Constructs provided Temporary Works and Permanent Works engineering, incorporating new features and optimizing structural performance within the existing framework. The renovation expanded usable floor space within the current truss system and added a sophisticated curved two-story curtain wall, enhancing both functionality and visual appeal. Our team handled the underpinning of the existing basement, developing a precise sequence of temporary vertical and lateral supports to ensure foundation and building stability throughout the process. We created a dual-purpose system that modified the existing truss structure to serve as both temporary and permanent support, delivering a cost-effective and efficient solution for the added floor loads. To enable the installation of a new steel frame, our team engineered temporary bracing and shoring, designing temporary trusses to allow for the safe removal of load-bearing walls below.
